As you are probably well aware Stringed Instruments and their Bows are both valuable and fragile. They need regular professional care to keep them in their best possible performing condition.
Over the last twenty-five years I have developed a versatile and interactive lecture on “care and maintenance of stringed instruments”. I have given this lecture widely in this country to music schools and colleges, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Trinity College of Music, London. This talk can be aimed equally at professional musicians, teachers or students of any level.
Throughout my career and dealings with musicians of all calibers, I have come to recognize the importance of the subject. By applying simple principles I have been able to help many of my clients to make sure their instruments are ready at any time for the required performance.
During the course of this lecture, which lasts between 45 minutes to an hour, I include many practical and simple tips, as well as some anecdotes -some funny, some tragic- to bring the message home in an easy way.
I would be delighted to discuss with you the possibility of giving this talk.
